J. Peter Pham, director of the Atlantic Council’s Michael S. Ansari Africa Center, was interviewed by Carol Castiel on Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s nine-nation diplomatic tour of Africa for this week’s edition of the Voice of America’s Encounter. The other guest was John Campbell, former US ambassador to Nigeria and Ralph Bunche fellow for Africa policy studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. During the half-hour segment, the two panelists discussed both the Obama administration’s Strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa, which was released in June, and the specific issues raised by the individual stops on Secretary Clinton’s itinerary.
